Liberation From the Mass of Neuroses Within

The 'mass of neuroses' is not being used as a psychological label, but as a description of an entangled ball of neurotic behavior that continues to be re-enforced as a mass, and a habit, through repetitive behavior. It vibrates like an over dose of caffeine, a lack of sleep, or jet lag. It is located in the solar plexus and feels like a knot.

Often this mass is regarded as anxiety, fear, frustration, duplicity, resistance, or anger, depending upon early childhood experiences. It was, and often still is, our go-to emotion. We use this behavior to survive or to hide. Sometimes it is socially acceptable. Sometimes we use it to 'act out'.

These emotions become the background music in our sense gates. Pay attention, and you will be amazed how often you are driven by the ‘ball’ of tension, usually felt in the gut.

What to do?
Here are some suggestions that I have been using that work for me so well that I wanted to pass them along to you.

Take your awareness to the vibration itself – explore it with great curiosity:
How does it feel?
Where is it in your body?
Is there texture, color?
Does it move?

Just note.
Then with subtlety press your scapula (shoulder blades) gently down and a little together with a very small movement. Feel the rib cage lift slightly as the heart moves in an upward motion. You might actually feel an opening in your heart center.

Explore what has happened to the ‘ball’ of tension now. Feel the subtle relief of disentanglement. Practice this throughout the day, so that it becomes second nature. Then try it when you feel stressed. Try it when you in transition or making a difficult decision, or life is having its way with you, or you are in a new situation, or you feel out of sync. Try it when you are frustrated or angry or anxious.

See what happens. Be curious.
You will be on your way to healing a very old pattern that has led you to make decisions on an unconscious level.

Be conscious.
Be liberated with inner peace as you breathe more easily and live more graciously and gratefully.
